Sunday is the day when the Giants meet (no, I didn’t mean NY Giants) – I am talking about Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Now, that’s a treat to watch! The two best Quarterbacks of this century; flawless team, neck-breaking defense, and very respected coach (I mean Tony Dungy)Now, it is strange that people have picked New England Patriots as favorites, even though:

  • They are playing RCA Dome – Manning’s home field, and
  • Colts are the defending Super Bowl Champions, and
  • Colts’s defense is far better than the previous year.

Understood that Brady has more TDs this season than Peyton and is exciting to watch, but the Patriots have won against teams who W-L % is not attractive. Colts have played against move tougher teams, than Patriots have.

Anyway, many analysts have picked Patriots to win the game by 4 points, maybe they will; maybe they won’t – just one bad day or one good day can reverse the fortunes of the team, the players and the organization. Patriots’ statistics may sound great on paper, but tomorrow on the field what they have to deliver.
The statistics do support the Patriots who have won the first four games of the rivalry, including the 2003 AFC title game. But the Colts have won the last three, including the 2006 AFC title game. Manning was astonishing – he passed for 349 yards to rally Indianapolis from an 18-point deficit – that helped them to win the AFC title game and later went on to win the Super Bowl last year.So tune in tomorrow for the treat – the treat of this year!

Players to watch – Joseph Addai, Dallas Clark

Winner: Colts :) Of course, I am biased – what did you expect? :)
